Each year, the Prix Jeunes Artistes of the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation rewards an artist (or collective) under the age of 40 with a link to the French-speaking Community of Belgium, in the field of visual arts.
The five studios selected by the Prix 2024 jury are Maak & Transmettre, paulineplusluis, Thibault Huguet and Arnaud Eubelen. This exhibition takes place at the Grand Hornu from 13.12.24 to 13.04.25.
As part of the ‘Le Geste’ festival organised by the French Embassy and Wallonie Design, I'm delighted to be taking part in the conference on 6/12 at MAD Brussels alongside ceramists Aster Caemaert and Kris De Clercq, with whom I'm collaborating as part of the Duo en Résonance project.
I’m very happy to join the Zaventem Ateliers adventure.
My studio will be a research laboratory, where I will develop techniques and experiment with materials, while developing projects in collaboration with craftsmen and art craftsmen. Zaventem Ateliers is an incredibly inspiring place where you can see a lot of different skills, artists and designers.
It’s time for new projects…
This year, with Jean-Baptiste Anotin, under the Meet Met Met collective, we have been asked to curate the Factory spaces for Paris Design Week 2024, from 5 to 9 September.
For us, it all started here and a lot has happened since:
-Participation in two editions of Factory
-Admission of our pieces to the Mobilier National
-Creation of the Meet Met Met collective (with Helder Barbosa)
-First exhibition of the collective entitled ‘FEU!’, supported by Paris Design Week
Today we are honoured to be able, in turn, to give young designers the chance to use this event as a springboard.
01/02/2024 - Lamp #1 has been selected for inclusion in the collections of the Mobilier National. The mission of this organisation, which reports to the French Ministry of Culture, is to ensure the conservation and restoration of its collections, which are unique in the world, and to perpetuate and pass on exceptional know-how. It is also a major player in contemporary design and the promotion of French decorative arts.
18/01/2024 - The Last Light ashtray will be presented at Hôtel Drouot during the auction organised by Maison R&C and curated by Jean-François Declercq.
In 2022, Helder Barbosa, Jean-Baptiste Anotin and Thibault Huguet created the Meet Met Met collective to promote the work of the new generation of emerging designers. As part of Paris Design Week 2023, they presented their first exhibition entitled "FEU! The collective invited 20 designers to reflect on the ashtray object. It was in this context that the Last Light ashtray was created.
As part of Paris Design Week 2023, luxury real estate agency Maison Junot invited Thibault Huguet to present his work alongside that of Helder Barbosa, in its offices in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
