173 x 53 x 210cm - Solid pine wood, cotton gauze, Indian Ink
–
Lignum – from the latin lignum : wood, woody material, secondary plant tissue produced by the cambium, consisting mainly of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin.

This screen, crafted from brushed raw pine and covered with cotton gauze, uses Indian ink to create a deep black that highlights the relief and play of light, drawing inspiration from Soulages’ Outrenoir. Its vertical construction and uncovered central shelf create a dialogue between raw material, texture and visual contrast.
